Workplace training feedback

  • "An amazing session - could have gone on longer!"

  • "It was a good training workshop, I learned so much more than expected."

  • "I welcomed the space to think. Loved the examples."

  • "Appreciate the flow of how the day was organised."

  • "Thank you so much, it's been really powerful + impactful for both developing how we work - and how I work."

These resources are breathtakingly beautiful! They are well designed; easy to use and understand; and brilliant at helping all people to understand neuro-diversity... This should be compulsory learning for primary age children so that the spectrum of neuro diversity can be understood and accepted from a young age... It's about time we started celebrating our differences rather than ostracising those who don't "fit" the "normal" mould. Well done on producing this amazing material

Workplace training feedback

"The whole content was absolutely incredible. The training provided a holistic understanding of neurodiversity, and I am confident about implementing the knowledge gained today."

I enjoyed most…"The safe, trauma-informed environment created; the absolute celebration of neurodiversity; Julia sharing her lived experience; the breadth and depth of information."

I thoroughly and genuinely enjoyed every second of the 3 hours i had exploring neurodivergence and would have happily stayed for at least another 3!!! I think that this subject is a very important one and more importantly it is vital to get this information out there to educate, and highlight the need for some positive action and understanding of anyone that is not neurotypical.
Julia was absolutely brilliant and I hope she continues to do what she's doing, I was so glad to meet such an extraordinary woman.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course.
The activities and resources are amazing.
I have loved learning all the different aspects and I am excited to continue to build my knowledge and be more aware of how others brain and neurology work and what I can do to keep promoting and building this awareness to create a better future for all people.

Workplace training feedback

  • "Julia was excellent, and I really appreciated how much she put of herself into the training, too, on questions and challenges. Thank you :)"

  • "It changed my attitude on how to frame ND as a positive + I hope an inclusive culture can flourish at UnLtd."

  • "I think it was a really interesting session + having it hosted by someone who is ND made a difference."

This is just such a brilliant course Julia.  Thank you so much.  Each week, I leave the meeting and find myself saying to myself 'this is just so good, this is just so good'!

There wasn’t a single part of the course which I didn’t find useful - every session delivered something valuable which I have returned back to again and again, as both a parent and a teacher.

Workplace training feedback

“There were so many a-ha moments. It is a subject i have looked at in depth but there were still so much i hadn't come across. Learning about ODD and PDA was interesting. The life expectancy of autistic adults was shocking…”

"Learning more about a topic that has a lot of stigma in a way that made me reflect about my own experiences. It's been really powerful + impactful for both developing how we work - and how I work."

Julia delivered a powerful, engaging & fully absorbing workshop. It was 3 hours and not long enough! I could have listened for days and am eager to learn more.
The afternoon gave me a real insight into how different experience can be for different people.
Really impressed & would recommend for everyone - thank you again Julia

Inset training evaluation

'Our home is much more harmonious, boundaries and bedtimes are better, and everyone is much less stressed. We have better relationships at home. Thank you'

'If you missed a live session it was recorded and you could watch it back at a time convenient to yourself. This made the course very accessible,

My only concern was that the course might not be relevant to me, but it was relevant to me!

The volume of knowledge that Julia has is extraordinary (and I say that as someone who knew she had a lot of knowledge).

The most important bit of the course for me has been easy implementable tips (down regulating strategies) and thinking about how I communicate with others.

The whole course has been fantastic - relevant to people without children as much as for those who live or work with young people. It has given me skills to deploy in my daily life.

This was a thoroughly thought out, well planned, informative course. It was very well taught and there was lots of opportunities to ask your own questions at various points throughout the course. The resources are amazing and easy to follow. The course is recorded so if you miss a session you can watch on playback. The facilitators are very knowledgeable in this field and are very approachable and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this course. I was so lucky to receive a place on this course. I do not know of any other courses running like this. Invaluable learning at its best.

'I knew the course would be interesting before I started but I didn’t expect to get as much out of it as I did. Julia and Shelley who led the course were so knowledgeable and also shared their own personal experiences which enhanced everything we were learning about.'
*

'I was surprised by the sheer amount of learning not only about my child but myself too.'
*
'Julia and Shelley have an amazing ability to make parents feel at ease, included and listened to during the course. They tell it to you straight and are clearly using both their excellent knowledge and their lived experience to help parents of children with complex needs. '

All On-Board attendees.

I was concerned about the commitment of doing the six weeks of All On-Board workshops and the timing but life is more routine than you think and it works.

However, with the depth of knowledge and all the concepts. I love it! I love your way/images for explaining concepts and I have a much better understanding of neurodiversity.

Seeing the image of how the brain MRI is different for each neurodivergent individual was fascinating, and helps understanding.
The content is brilliant and I just need to find a way to involve it in my day to day.

What you have got here is great and needs to be shared widely to help everyone have greater understanding and skills and confidence - children, parents teachers, employers, colleagues and the wider community.

I would unreservedly recommend this course to other parents of neuro divergent children. I found it both informative and empowering

*
'I was surprised with the warmth and support I received personally

*
'I loved the positive view of neurodiversity which is at the heart of the course. Often programmes which cover ADHD and autism present them as a deficit model which needs to be overcome. I loved how All On-Board did the opposite: the focus was on difference not deficit and those differences were celebrated.'

I highly recommend Julia's work and the services she provides

I have a recently diagnosed autistic child. Although prior to his diagnoses he displayed some challenging behaviours. Julia gave me insights to help me understand my son's behaviour, how to understand and best support him. So life at home is now much easier and I can enjoy life with my son.
Her approach is fresh progressive and child centred. She is so wise and down to earth some of her advice not only made sense but is life changing and made me reassess my own thought processes and attitude to parenting and life in general....

...The most important aspect for me is seeing the strengths my child has and working with those to build in his skills. Julia gave me step by step support for different situations that my child and I found difficult as well as time, effort, understanding, and care beyond expectation. I highly recommend her work and the services she provides.

I have found your course to be amazing. I had an amazing meeting with the local SEN specialist teacher who basically has been the first professional to acknowledge Joshua’s autism and even pda! And she said that in front of the school. So that and your course really has me empowered to help him access the education system.

Thank you SO much!! You really are a blessing.
Your course has been a blessing.
As always you are a voice of reason. I am so incredibly grateful for your support.

'I gained so much knowledge which improved my understanding of neurodiversity and there were so many practical strategies to support our neurodivergent young people and help them realise their potential.'
*
'I was surprised how practical it was - it made sense. And it was really fun.'
*
'I wasn't sure whether it would help me with parenting my child.
The trickiest thing will be remembering everything we learnt! Because there was so much useful stuff.'

I feel incredibly fortunate to have participated in this course. I feel it should be compulsory learning for every single parent and every single educator. If society viewed and supported neurodiversity in the way Julia, Shelley and the All On-Board course do the world would be a far better place. Shelley and Julia are excellent facilitators who not only share their wealth of knowledge but are also extremely supportive of participants and their individual circumstances. I cannot recommend this course highly enough and I would urge everyone to do it.

I’ve just downloaded my pack. These resources are unique. I’ve never seen anything like them before. They are going to be invaluable in engaging children and helping them learn about their own unique brain wiring.

It has been an invaluable course and I would really look forward to Thursday evenings when the course was being run. I think I mentioned to Julia it was like a comfort blanket and it helped me focus on the important things.
